■ Storing zoom settings

Use this feature to set zoom values into the M1, M2, and M3 keys

on the keyboard. You can then use these keys during normal op-

eration to switch the zoom to the stored value.

1. Press the keyboard's Image Adjust Select key as necessary to set

the Zoom lamp on.

2. Rotate the Image Adjust Control dial dial to set the zoom to the

value you want, while watching the result on the screen.

3. Press the M1, M2, or M3 key to store the new value. You can

store a different value into each key.

After returning to normal mode, you can use the M1, M2,and M3

Zoom keys to quickly switch the zoom rate to the registered value.

Each Zoom key is effective only for the lens that was

mounted when the setting was recorded. If you try to

use the key to change the zoom setting on a different

lens, the MS500 returns User Call L6. (➞38)
