With Full HD movie capture, the EOS 60D lets

photographers to mix still images and video

together for a new creative approach to photography.

Offering the ability to record 1080p HD video

as well as still images, the EOS 60D is truly a

multimedia machine. The camera's large,

APS-C sized sensor offers new artistic options

that are unachievable using conventional

video cameras – such as the ability to shoot

high quality footage in low light conditions,

and control depth of field using lenses

designed for stills photography.

With an invaluable range of manual controls,

the EOS 60D offers total control over video

capture. Aperture, shutter speed, ISO and

even frame rate are all user selectable,

allowing you the freedom to capture moving

images the way you want. Movies can be

recorded at 30, 25 and 24 frames per

second using 1920x1080 pixel resolution,

and at 50 and 60 frames per second using

1280x720 and 640x480 pixel resolutions.

The camera's Movie Crop function lets you

get closer to the action by using only the

centre of the sensor, magnifying a scene

by up to 7x to 640x480 pixels.

An external microphone can be connected

to the EOS 60D, allowing you to record the

high quality stereo soundtrack your movies

deserve. Sound can be monitored using the

built-in digital level meter and recording level

adjusted manually to one of 64 settings.
