Using the Speedbag

The IMPRESS 3 speedbag is closed by a

new chest strap/speedbag safety device,

called Closure Remember System. This fas-

tening is directly connected to the chest/leg

straps and draws the pilot's attention, when

he closes the speedbag, to the chest strap

(which should have been closed already).

This safety device will prevent the pilot from

falling out of the harness should he take off

with speedbag closed but chest strap open

(for example after having released the chest/

leg straps after a failed takeoff).

Stay leaning forward after takeoff, with body

weight supported by the leg/chest straps.

Pick up the speedbag (which should be dan-

gling below) with a foot (right preferably) and

push yourself into a comfortable reclining

position by means of the footboard. The top

of the speedbag then closes automatically.
