5. Edit the Alarm Point Settings
Note: An alarm point is an input that causes a fault
alarm to be transmitted when the appropriate voltage is
applied.
a. Select A)larms from the System submenu. The cur-
rent alarm field values will be displayed. The
prompt line at the bottom of the screen lists the hot
keys for each field. (Fig. 13) The field meanings are
given in Table E.

b. Type in the number of the alarm point you want to
change. Select the field you want to change and
make the desired changes. Fig. 13 shows an example
of changing the entries for the Trap field for point 3.
c. Press <Enter>.
d. When you have changed all the fields that need
changing, press the escape key <Esc> to return to
the System submenu.
Note: The pager device can be an ASCII terminal,
T/MonXM element manager or IAM element manager,
as well as a pager.
6. Edit the Control Point Settings
Note: A control point is an output that changes state
when a command (SET) is sent to it.
a. Select C)ontrols from the System menu. The current
control field values will be displayed. The prompt

sent when an alarm condition exists.
Pager: Pri
Primary Pager and Secondary pager: Allows you to

designate pagers. The Net Dog will issue one call
to the primary (pager) device, followed by one call
to the secondary (pager) device.
