If you cannot rectify a fault yourself (after switching the machine off and on again) or a repair is required:
Set the programme selector to the Off position. The appliance is switched off.

Unplug the mains plug from the socket.

Cause/remedy
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is adjusting an imbal-

ance by repeatedly distributing the laundry.
Not a fault – the foam detection system is activated – a rinse cycle has

been switched on.
Not a fault – the programme sequence is optimised for the specific washing
■
process. This may change the length of the programme shown in the dis-
play panel.
Not a fault – the effectiveness of the care product is not affected.

If necessary, clean the insert and detergent drawer. ~ Page 21

Run the Cottons 90 °C programme without any laundry. Use standard
■
detergent for this.
Have you used too much detergent? Mix one tablespoon of fabric softener
■
with 1/2 litre of water and pour into compartment II (not for outdoor fabrics
or those made with down). Use less detergent in the next washing cycle.
