Connecting the Monitor(s)
Your FireGL accelerator can drive one or two display
devices simultaneously (monitors or digital flat panels) and
will allow you to mix and match display types and
resolutions.
1.
Plug the video cable of the first display to the
connector on the card labeled "1". To connect a VGA
monitor to a DVI-I connector, use the included
adapter.
2.
If using a second display, plug it in to the connector
labeled "2". Some FireGL cards have dual DVI-I
connectors, while others have a single DVI-I
connector and a single VGA connector. For more
information, consult your FireGL User Guide on the
CD-ROM.
Installing the Software Drivers
1.
Turn on your workstation and display device(s).
2.
Insert the FireGL CD-ROM.
3.
Click on "Install Software" and follow the on-screen
instructions.
FireGL Control Panel
Open the Display control panel and click on the
Advanced button. This will enable you to configure
resolutions, multiple monitors, as well as select the
settings that optimize performance for your software
application.
