General
Congratulations on purchasing the Bobike junior, the safe and
comfortable bicycle child seat from the Bobob line. Read these
instructions for assembly and use carefully before assembling the seat.
Store these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
• The Bobike is suitable for the transportation of children in the age
category 5 to 10 years old. The maximum permitted weight is 32 kg.
• The seat is not intended for use on mopeds. Consult your supplier
if you have any questions regarding the assembly or use of the
Bobike junior.
• Use the Bobike maxi assembly set to assemble the Bobike junior.
These sets can also be purchased separately.
• When reusing the insert, it may be necessary to raise the saddle
slightly so that the Bobike junior will fit properly.
Assembly
• Attach the plug-in element (H) to the upright rear fork under the
saddle – the counter element is tightened with spanner 13 (with
the flat side facing the rear fork). Ensure that the plug-in element
is mounted horizontally and with the T-shaped opening in the
correct position (wide slot on top) (fig. 5).
• Attach both mounting studs (C) approximately 30 cm under the
plug-in element (H) perpendicular to the rear fork (fig. 1). The
mounting studs are suitable for rear forks with a ø of 12 to 25 mm
(fig. 2). To adjust, insert the clamping bracket in the front, middle
or rear slot.
• Ensure that the elements on both the left and right are mounted at
exactly the same height. Screw the bolt hand-tight with the Allen key
and completely unscrew the stud on the assembly stud.
• Now take the seat and insert the head of the mounting bracket (G)
straight and completely into the plug-in element (fig. 5).
• Turn the footrest bar (B) to the correct position, place the ends in
the assembly studs (C) and screw the studs tight.
• Adjustment. The seating surface of the Bobike junior must slope
gently to the rear. Ensure that there is a sufficient gap between the
seat and the baggage holder or mudguard. To improve the position
of the seat, move the assembly studs (C) up or down. When the
correct position has been achieved, screw the assembly stud bolt
tight.
• Foot support (D) height adjustment. You can set the foot rest at 4
heights by screwing the Allen bolts into the lowest and top holes of
the washer plate (fig. 3).
• Safety regulations: After assembling the Bobike junior check that
the gap between the back of the child safety seat and the rear axle
is no more than 30 cm before using the seat with your child (fig. 4).
• Put your child into the Bobike junior and check that the chosen
setting is correct. Always take the child out of the seat before
changing the setting.
