Proper use / warranty

•

The solar light is suitable for use in outdoor areas. The storage

battery charges during the daytime via the solar ﬁ eld. The ac-

cumulated energy allows the LED light to illuminate in the dark.

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other

use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

Important notes

❐ Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material

away from children and animals.

❐ The product is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from

the product to avoid injury.

❐ Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the stor-

age battery prior to disposal). Only have the product repaired

by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by customer service.

❐ If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid

does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous

membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-

fected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek

immediate medical attention.

❐ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in ﬁ re,

immersed in liquids or short circuited.

❐ Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe

percussions.

❐ Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.

❐ Use suitable mounting material to mount the product. Mounting

material is included in the product contents. Check if it is suit-

able for your application as the mounting material to be used

depends on the composition of the wall on which you would like

to mount the product.

❐ Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splash-proof.

❐ To enable an automatic activation of the LED light, the solar

light should not be situated near other light sources such as

street lamps or other lamps.

The storage battery must charge for approximately 6 to 8

hours in order for the LED light to illuminate.

1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils

(e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld) or stickers. Check all parts for any

damages from transport. Should you identify any transport

damages, please promptly consult customer service.

2. Place the solar light in a location where the solar ﬁ eld is ex-

posed to direct sunlight the whole day, if possible. Mounting

material is included in the product contents. However, the type

of mounting material depends on the composition of the wall

on which you would like to mount the light. If you are unsure

whether the enclosed mounting material is suitable for your ap-

plication, consult an appropriately qualiﬁ ed outlet if necessary.

3. An On/Off switch is located on the bottom side of the solar unit.

Pull the solar unit off of the solar light. Set the switch to the ON

position to turn on the solar unit. Then place the solar unit back

on the solar light.

Sunlight will now charge the storage battery. At dusk, the LED

will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LED will turn off and the

storage battery will be recharged via the solar ﬁ eld.

4. To completely deactivate the solar light, pull the solar unit off

of the solar light and set the On/Off switch to the OFF position.

Then place the solar unit back on the solar light.

Cleaning

Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is always clean in order to ensure the

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean the solar ﬁ eld

or the light occasionally with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive

or abrasive cleaning products to clean the product! They could

damage the surface.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it

available to the collection service for recyclable materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. The product does not belong in the household gar-

bage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and

electronic equipment. For more information, please con-

tact the administration in your community.

Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-

posed of separately before disposing of the product. To

protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries

may not be disposed of together with normal household

waste. Instead they must be turned in at appropriate col-

lection points. Be sure to observe applicable legal regula-

tions on battery disposal.

Removing the storage battery

Remove the solar unit from the solar light. Open the solar

unit by removing the screws and dispose of the storage

battery.
