OCTAVE - Active subwoofer and satellites
5 - Setting up the satellites
5.1 - Using speaker stands
The OCTAVE and SATOCT16 satellites feature 35 mm baseplates to mount them on a compatible
speaker stand, such as the CAB-200 from AUDIOPHONY, as described on the drawing opposite .
Please respect the following safety precautions when using speaker
stands:
WARNING
- If the speaker stands are in a crowded area, make sure to prevent the
audience from accessing them.
- When mounting the stands, make sure to spread the tripod as much as
possible to stabilise the stand.
- Please respect carefully the manufacturer's instructions.
- Please make sure to install your stands on a flat, even surface.
- Tighten the clamping knobs properly before turning the speakers on
5.2 - Using a wall hanging system
The COMPACT satellites are equipped with M6 inserts allowing you to
hang them to walls, such as the SUPOCT, SUPMUR2 or SUP-SAT from AUDIOPHONY
Please find below more details about these inserts.
Note :
- No matter which hanging system you choose, you must use a double safety cable to
secure the fixation.
- Please make sure the type of support chosen is compatible with the weight of the
satellite.
WARNING
- Please check the type of fixation is adapted to your wall.
- When using speakers stands outdoors, please make sure
the stands are secured, even perhaps guyed, in order to
prevent any risk of fall.
- Do not stack up several satellites onto the same
accessory as speaker stands are usually designed for a
single speaker.
