Troubleshooting Guide

Symptom

Pump will not start.

Poor vacuum.

Oil murky or dark in color.

Appion TEZ8 Wiring

Cause

Power cord not plugged in or

plugged into a bad outlet.

Motor in thermal overload.

Loose wire in machine.

Pump is designed to "soft start"

Loose hose connection.

Oil contaminated.

Low oil level.

Miscalibrated gauge

Oil contaminated.

Solution

Check power cord, try a

different outlet.

Allow motor to cool down.

Open case and check wire

connections.

Open 1/4" inlet cap and start

pump. Close cap tightly for

evacuation.

Check all hose connections and

flare caps for any leaks.

Replace with new oil.

Recalibrate gauge, or try a

different gauge.

Replace with new oil.
