Troubleshooting Tips

Performing the following steps can help you resolve some of the more common device issues that you may
experience with your DataJack 3G/4G U600 USB modem.
If you are unable to resolve your issue using the Troubleshooting steps below, please contact DataJack
Customer Service at 1-888-693-4522 for assistance.
The SmartView software does not detect the U600 USB Modem
If SmartView displays No Wireless Device, the computer is not recognizing the connection to the modem. Try
removing the modem and reinserting it into the USB port on the computer. If it is still not recognized, insert
the USB modem into a different USB port.
Note: Allow several minutes for the computer to recognize the connection and install the drivers.
If you've installed the SmartView software onto your desktop and your computer is not detecting the U600 USB
modem, here are several reasons why this behavior may occur:
The USB U600 is not fully inserted into the USB port on your PC.
The USB U600 must be fully inserted into the USB port of your computer in order for the drivers to be
installed and the SmartView software to recognize the USB U600.
If necessary, remove and reinsert the USB U600 into the USB port on the computer.
If this does not resolve the problem, try using another USB port (if available).
If the USB U600 is still not recognized, remove the USB U600 and reboot the computer. Once the
computer is booted up, plug in the U600 USB again.
Ensure the USB U600 is plugged directly into a computer— not a USB hub.
