Note: If the Real Time Effects mode is on (Green Button), the Avid will not send video through your
FireWire. Make sure the Real Time Effects mode is off before exporting video (Blue Button as show in
Screen 1)
Please follow the steps below to configure your DAC-2 for use with Xpress DV 3
Step 1. Connect your DAC-2 to your computer via FireWire. (IEEE/1394 Cable)
Step 2. Turn on your Windows computer.
Step 3. Launch the Avid Xpress DV software.
Step 4. Turn on your DAC-2 converter.
Step 5. Open an existing project or create a new one.
