User Instruction for the Rear Loading Bariatric Commode
Transportation: To transport the commode, using the armrest, tilt the commode upwards so that the transportation wheels
come into contact with the floor – it is usually easier to pull rather than to push the commode.
71019F/H Potty:
This product was developed for greater ease of use. The rear
handle was designed to allow easy fitting and removal from the
commode and greater control when carrying and emptying. The
upper handle when put in the upright position locks into position
for stability. To fold it down, push the handle vertically downwards
to release the locking tabs before folding it backwards towards the
rear handle.
To fit the pan (X220), ensure that the pan handles are
•
lifted clear of the support brackets then slide the pan
across the rear supporting brackets fitted to the commode
until contact is made with the front of the bracket.
To remove the pan, ensure the handles are clear of the support brackets and then slide the pan out from the rear of
•
the commode.
The upper handle will require to be folded down before fitting to the commode.

5. Cleaning
Use mild detergent with warm water to wipe down framework.
•
Pay particular attention to the hinges and the underside of the toilet seat.
•
Do not use an abrasive cleaner as this will damage the frame and nullify your warranty. It is recommended that the
•
potty is thoroughly cleaned after every use using an appropriate cleaning agent.
Use of power/jet washing & industrial washing machines:
If either of the above is used to clean equipment care must be taken since high-pressure water can be penetrative.
•
Care should be taken that frames are not placed too close to high-pressure water jets.
•
After cleaning ensure any residual water is removed from the framework as it could cause permanent rusting of the
•
frame (leave frames open in a warm environment for several hours to ensure all internal moisture evaporates).
We cannot offer advice on industrial washing machines with regards to specific machine settings, as these will be
•
dependant on the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Maintenance Requirements
The product should be checked on a regular basis for damage or wear and tear – this includes flaking or cracking paint. Any
undue signs of damage should be noted and reported to the supplier in the first instance. Should damage be evident, then the
user should refrain from using the product until advice has been sought from the supplier.
7. Warning
This product is intended for users of a maximum of 250kg/40stone in weight.
•
We recommend a full risk assessment should be carried out before use.
