Recommended distances between portable and mobile RF telecommunications equipment and the
AffloVest
The AffloVest is intended for use in an electromagnetic environemnt, in which RF interference is
controlled. The customer or user of the AffloVest can help prevent electromagnetic interference by
maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF telecommunications equipment
(transmitters) and the AffloVest as recommended below - dependent on the maximum output power of
the communications equipment.

The recommended distance d in meters (m) for transmitters with a maximum nominal output not
specified in the table above can be calculated using the equation applicable to the transmitter frequency
(in the specific column in the table), where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in
watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1: The higher frequency range applies at 80 MHz and 800 MHz
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by
absorption and reflection from structures, object, and persons.
