USES

• Hydroponics, garden irrigation, and aquaponic applications

• Thanks to its high alumina ceramic shaft, it can be used for both fresh and sea water (Fig. 1).

• Can be used in low water depth conditions for water circulation and draining for sea fish

breeding pond applications (Fig. 2).

• Can be used for garden irrigation, water supply and circulation for rockeries, fountains and

water features (Fig. 3), draining of ponds, etc.

1. The pump must be completely immersed in water with a minimum depth of 3" (8 cm) to ensure

that it does not ingest air.

2. When used in a pond or brook, the pump must be installed on some solid, flat stones a few

inches above the bottom to prevent it from sucking up sand and silt.

3. The water inlet pipe must be filled with water before operation in a low water level.

NOTE: This pump can be used indoors or outdoors. However, when used outdoors the power outlet

used must be located in a dry place. The minimum distance between the power outlet and the pond

should be 5' (1.5 m). Position the pump off to the side of a wall-mounted outlet in order to prevent

water from dripping onto the plug or outlet.

Arrange a "drip loop" for the power cord connecting a pump to a power outlet. A drip loop is made

when the part of the power cord nearest the cord's power plug is kept below the level of the outlet (or

if using an extension cord, below the level of the connection), preventing water from traveling along

the cord and coming in contact with the outlet (see illustration below).
