MAINTENANCE and TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
To Change A Light Bulb
Light bulbs need to be replaced when you notice a dark section of the flame or
when clarity and detail of the coal effect disappears.
Remove the locking catch on the side of the brackets and then remove the
face or frame. This is done by lifting the face or frame up and swinging the face
or frame clear of the fire. Care should be taken not to damage the face or
frame. Removal of the face or frame may require two people.
WARNING
Allow at least five minutes for the light bulbs to cool before touching the bulbs
to avoid burning.
On the front of the fireplace there are screws on both sides. These need to be
undone to allow the cover to slide down (Figure 10).
Examine the bulbs to determine which one needs replacing. Remove the burnt
bulb and replace with a new long life bulb. Hold the socket whilst unscrewing
the old bulb and whilst screwing in the replacement bulb. (Figure 11)
The bulbs are 40 watt screwed base candle bulbs.
Once the bulb has been replaced, replace back the cover, screws and face or
stone frame.
