Data Protec on

During the use of device, personal data will be collected, stored and processed. To protect data,

the development of Hikvision devices incorporates privacy by design principles. For example,

for device with facial recogni on features, biometrics data is stored in your device with

encryp on method; for ﬁngerprint device, only ﬁngerprint template will be saved, which is

impossible to reconstruct a ﬁngerprint image.

As data controller, you are advised to collect, store, process and transfer data in accordance

with the applicable data protec on laws and regula ons, including without limita on,

conduc ng security controls to safeguard personal data, such as, implemen ng reasonable

administra ve and physical security controls, conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the

eﬀec veness of your security controls.

1 Installation

Installa on Environment:

Indoor installa on is supported. The device should be at least 2

meters away from the light, and at least 3 meters away from the

window or the door.

The addi onal force shall be equal to three mes the weight of the equipment

but not less than 50N. The equipment and its associated moun ng means shall

remain secure during the installa on. A er the installa on, the equipment,

including any associated moun ng plate, shall not be damaged.

Make sure the gang box is installed on the wall.

You should purchase the

gang box separately.

Use 1 supplied screw (PA4x25) to secure base plate on the gang box.

Use another 2 supplied screws (K1M4x8) to secure the moun ng plate on the

base plate. Route the cables through the cable hole of the moun ng plate, and

connect to the corresponding external device's cables.

Align the device with the moun ng plate and hang the device on the

moun ng plate.

Use 1 supplied screw (KM3x6) to secure the device on the moun ng

When connec ng door contact and exit bu on,

the device and the RS-485 card reader should

use the same common ground connec on.

The Wiegand terminal here is a Wiegand input

terminal. You should set the device's Wiegand

direc on to "input". If you should connect to

an access controller, you should set the

Wiegand direc on to "Output". For details, see

the user manual.

The suggested external power supply for door

lock is 12 V, 1 A.

The suggested external power supply for

Wiegand card reader is 12 V, 1 A.

Do not wire the device to the electric supply

directly.
