PARTS LIST
TO check if the following parts are contained for each light.
1. Solar Panel Box
2. LED Light String
3. Pointed Ground stake
INSTALLATION
The box containing the light string's solar panel MUST be installed in a well-lit location where it can receive maximum sun-
light during daytime hours. Any cover that shades the panel will affect its ability to absorb sunlight and decrease the amount
of brightness and duration of the LED lights. The lights and solar panel box are all weather – they should not be affected by
exposure to rain, snow or temperature.
Your solar light string has a light sensor, so it will activate automatically at sunset and deactivate automatically at dawn. Its
location should NOT be near a light source such as a porch light, street lamp, etc., as these lights might prevent the lights
from automatically turning on. If possible, place the solar panel facing north to ensure the solar panel absorbs maximum
sunlight. The string of lights can be hung on tree branches, bushes, a roof, eave, fence or any other place you wish.
The solar panel box can be positioned in the ground using the pointed stake. Connect the tube together with the battery box
and then push the stake into the ground until it is firmly in place. If the ground is too hard, soak the area with water to soften
it. Once the stake is in place, attach the solar panel box by sliding its bracket onto the top of the stake. Be sure the solar
panel is pointed toward the sunlight. Upon initial installation make sure that the switch is in the OFF position, allow the unit to
charge 24 to 48 hours for best performance, then switch the lights to ON 1 (Flashing Mode) or to ON 2 (Constant Light
Mode). If you find that the lights become dim or stop working they may not be getting enough Sun Light. Repeat the opera-
tion above of switching the lights to the OFF position and again allow the battery to charge for 24 to 48 hours before resum-
ing normal operation.
At least 6 hours of exposure to light is required to illuminate the light strand. The lights will illuminate for 6 - 8 hours if the
solar panel is charged in optimal lighting conditions.
Although your solar panel will continue to collect energy on cloudy, rainy or snowy days, the amount of energy collected will
limit the time your lights illuminate. For example, a bright cloudy day will provide 3 -4 hours of illumination and a rainy or
snowy day will provide up 1-2 hours of illumination.
OPERATION
Turn power switch to the ON position. Once activated, you DO NOT need to turn the unit ON of OFF again; a light sensor
will activate and deactivate your lights automatically based on lighting conditions. If you do not wish your lights to turn on
automatically, turn the power switch to the off position. If you store your lights, turn the power switch to the OFF position.
The LED's are a permanent part of the light strand and cannot be replaced. The LED lights installed on the strand should
provide a lifetime of use; each LED should illuminate for at least 10,000 hours.
BATTERY
