Replacement routines
In case of an error the following parts can be replaced:
– Complete storage blade

Information about the replacement procedure of the hard disk drives you
will find in the "PRIMERGY Connection Blade SAS Switch 6 Gb 18/6
Operating Manual".
You have to change the remaining parts as a whole unit.

Preparation
To remove the storage blade from the system unit, you must first switch off the
related server blade(s).

Removing the storage blade from the system unit

You will find a detailed description of removing / installing the storage
blade out of/into the system unit in the SX980 S1 / SX980 S2 storage
blade Operating Manual.
Ê Switch off the related server blade(s): either using the On/Off button on the
server blade or using the Web interface of the management blade (see the
user interface description in the manual „ServerView Management
Blade S1" for PRIMERGY BX900 Blade Server Systems respectively for
PRIMERGY BX400 Blade Server Systems).
Ê Undo the locking mechanism of the release lever.
Ê Swivel the release lever until it is nearly horizontal.
Ê Pull the storage blade out of the slot.
