Pre-installed Internal Drives
Dell performs the installation and setup of internal tape drives that are shipped as part of a system.
Store any backup software CD-ROMs or diskettes that come with your system in case you ever need to reinstall the software.

Installing Internal Drives
NOTE: Check your system documentation to verify that you have a supported configuration of tape drive.
If your internal tape drive is not pre-installed, follow these installation instructions.
Installing the Tape Backup Software
Refer to your tape backup software documentation for full details about how to install and operate your backup software application. Make sure the latest patches and support
packs are installed for your software; obtain these from http://support.dell.com.
Installation Prerequisites
Dell PowerVault 110T SDLT 320 drives are Ultra 2 wide SCSI devices designed to operate on a Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI bus with a burst transfer rate of 80
MB/sec. Dell recommends that you use a dedicated host bus adapter for the tape drive.
Never install the drive on a single-ended SCSI bus because this will restrict performance. Do not install the tape drive on the same bus with other single-ended devices
