Adding detergent

For automatic dishwashing you re-

quire

@ Powder or granular detergent

® Liquid Rinse Aid

Only use

detergent

formulated

for

domestic dishwashers.

Do not use liquid detergents.

Adding Detergent

Dishwasher detergent must be added

before

each

program

except

for

"Rinse & Hold".

For the economical use of detergent

use the MIELE measuring spoon.

The

correct

amount

of detergent

depends on the degree of soiling, the

selected program and the hardness of

the water.

Recommendations

For the

"Economy",

"China"

and

"Crystal" cycles, use 1 full measuring

spoon (1/2 oz.)

For all other programs, use 2 full mea-

sures (1 oz.) for water hardness over

14 grains per gallon (215 mg/l.) For

water below 14 grain hardness use 2

measures to the mark (2/3 oz.)

Please note that the different deter-

gents may vary in their effectiveness,

thus in some cases, slightly higher

quantities may be required.

After adding detergent, close the lid of

the dispenser. The detergent is auto-

matically added at the correct time

during the cycle.

NOTE:

When

selecting the "pots & pans"

program, pour 1 additional measure

(1/2) directly into the wash cabinet.

The "pots & pans" program has a

120°F pre-wash cycle, thus the deter-

gent will aid in pre-cleaning your dis-

hes.
