CLEANING THE FILTER MATERIAL

Clean the Bio-Media by agitating it in the filter and draining off the dirty water. Be cautious of chlorinat-

ed water - it can kill beneficial bacteria microbes. Clean the filter mats by spraying them off with a gar-

den hose. The mats are not intended to grow beneficial bacteria so the chlorinated water is not an issue

while cleaning mats.
