Description

3.1

Hardware components

The hardware components of the MR Elastography option create,

conduct and introduce pressure waves into the human body. They are

designed to be used in conjunction with imaging systems.

There are three specific components of the MR Elastography option:

Equipment room (A), examination room (B)

(1) Trigger converter box

(2) Active driver

(3) Passive driver

The active driver and the passive driver are third-party products and

part of the Resoundant acoustic driver system. A complete list of the

Resoundant hardware components is contained in the Resoundant

user manual, which is supplied with the hardware package.

3.1.1

Trigger converter box

The trigger converter box is located next to the active driver in the

equipment room. It is configured by Siemens Service. It receives input

from the scanner electronics and triggers the active driver.

The trigger converter box is MR Unsafe.
