CHAPTER
NUMBER
SEARCH
This function gives you access to the very begin-
ning of a specified chapter number.
For example, to search for chapter 3:
1. Press the SEARCH and CHAP. keys.
If a standard play disc is being played, playback
will stop at that point and switch to the still
frame mode.
|f an extended play disc is being
played, playback will continue as before.
2. Enter
the chapter
number
using the DIGIT
key(s).
If you
make
a mistake
pressing the
DIGIT key(s), press the CHAP. key again and
enter the correct chapter number.
If a chapter
number higher than the last chapter on the disc
is entered, the outermost track on the disc will
be played.

3. Press the SEARCH key.
The pickup will move to the beginning of the
specified chapter. During this time, there will be
no picture and the stand by indicator will flash
on and off. When the beginning of the specified
chapter has been located, the first frame of the
chapter will be played in the stil! frame mode on
standard play discs and normal play will begin
on extended play discs.
NOTES:
e Once frame (elapsed time) number or chapter
number
search
has
been
performed,
the
PR-8210
will
retain
the
specified
frame
(elapsed time) or chapter in its memory until
the power
is turned
off or another
frame
(elapsed
time}
or chapter
is entered.
Con-
sequently, if the SEARCH key is pressed twice
in a row, the frame (elapsed time) or chapter
previously set will be located and played again.
If you
decide
to cancel
the search
mode
after beginning
the input procedure, simply
press the PLAY
key.
