TOUCH SENSITIVE KEYS SIMO
1. Turn on the POWER Switch so the POWER
Indicator lights up.
2. Select a voice by pressing any Voice
Selector.
3. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME
Control.
4. Play on the keyboard. You can play up to
eight notes at once.
5. Press the STEREO SYMPHONIC Selector to
add depth and width to the sound.
49. Press the Foot Switch to add sustain to the
sound.
Initial Touch Control
The YPR-9 keyboard is touch-responsive.
Play-
ing harder makes the sound louder and bright-
er, just like an acoustic piano.
Demonstration
Press the DEMONSTRATION
Button. The
YPR-9 will play 'The Dog Waltz" (0p.64-1) by
Chopin. (The note range of this piece exceeds
the range of the YPR-9 keyboard.)
Performance Memory
Press the RECORD
Button and play a passage
on the keyboard. Change voices if you want.
When you finish, press the OFF Button. Now
` press the PLAY Button. The YPR-9 will play
what you played, in the same voice. You can
also change voices. Press the OFF Button
when you're finished. The performance will re-
main in the memory for about one week after
the power is turned off.
* Up to 700 notes can be recorded in the Per-
formance Memory.
If you exceed this, a
beeper sounds, and no more notes can be
recorded.
Transpose
Holding down the MIDI/TRANSPOSE Selector
and pressing keys between F*« and Fs raises
or lowers the key in 1/2 step units over a one
octave range. The keys between C*s and Fs
raise the key, and those between F*4 and Bu
lower it. To return to standard pitch, turn off
the power or hold down the MIDI/TRANSPOSE
Selector and press the Cs key.
Fine Tuning
Hold down C: and D: and hit any key between
Cs and Bs to raise the pitch in 1.6 cent units.
Hold down C+ and C* and hit any key be-
tween Cs and Bs to lower the pitch in 1.6 cent
units. Turn off the power to return to standard
pitch (As
— 440Hz).
