1. Copy the HBA card driver from the ThinkServer EasyStartup DVD to your local drive. Double-click the

EXE file to unzip it to a folder. Copy the folder to your USB storage device and connect the USB

storage device to your server.

2. Log in to the operating system and copy the folder from your USB storage device to the /tmp directory

on your server.

3. Input the following commands to install the driver.

cd /tmp

cd / elx_suse11v82210

./ elx_lpfc_install.sh

Note: The elx_suse11v82210 represents the name of the driver package file and the elx_lpfc_install.sh

represents the name of the driver. Use the corresponding file names on your server.

4. Restart your server.

Installing the driver for a CNA card

This topic provides instructions on how to install the driver for a CNA card.

To install the driver for a CNA card, do the following:

1. Copy the CNA card driver from the ThinkServer EasyStartup DVD to your local drive. Unzip the driver

file to a folder. Copy the folder to your USB storage device and connect the USB storage device to

your server.

2. Log in to the operating system and copy the folder from your USB storage device to the /tmp directory

on your server.

3. Use the following commands to install the driver.

• For Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and iSCSI over Ethernet (ISOE) protocols:

cd /tmp

cd /qla2xxx_8242

./extras/build.sh

Note: The qla2xxx_8242 represents the name of the driver package file and the build.sh represents

the name of the driver. These names might be different on your server. Use the corresponding

file names on your server.

• For NIC protocol:

cd /tmp

cd qlcnic-5.0.29.2

./qlcnic-src-install.sh –b

./qlcnic-src-install.sh -i

Note: The qlcnic-5.0.29.2 represents the name of the driver package file and the qlcnic-src-install.sh

represents the name of the driver. These names might be different on your server. Use the

corresponding file names on your server.

4. Restart your server.
