6. Secure adapter and proceed to next section.
Test Operation:
1.
Turn ignition and Radio "ON"
2. Connect Audio device to jack using supplied 3 ft. Audio cable (See Fig.
5) or similar.

3. Press AUX button on Radio.
Note: If radio does not switch to AUX, cycle ignition OFF/ON and try
again.
4. Play test track on audio device
5. Use radio volume control button to set playback level.
6. If correct operation is confirmed go ahead and reinstall radio.
Warning!
Playlist and Track selection is *NOT* possible from the Ford
radio. You must use the audio devices built-in controls to access music
files.

Does the FRD04-AUX work in vehicles with Ford Navigation radios

NO.
This adapter does not work in vehicles with Navigation, Satellite Radio,
SYNC or RSE. These must be disconnected.
