The following abbreviations apply in the manual:
AL - alarm loop
FACP- fire alarm control panel
IR – infrared
1.1 The detector is designed to detect smoky fires inside large premises.
1.2 Detector consists of 2 units: transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx). Tx and Rx are
connected to each other and to alarm loop through external interface units (EIU-1).
1.3 The detector transmits the Fire and the Fault messages. The detector transmits the Fire
message when infrared radiation flux between Tx and Rx is slackened by smoke in specified
number of times, and the Fault message when the infrared radiation flux is completely obscured or
electrical connection between units is broken. These messages are indicated with red LED
indicators on the receiver.
1.4 The Fire outcoming signal retains after combustion aerosol products affecting is over.
You can reset the detector to standby mode switching off the mains supply for at least 5 s.
1.5 The detector is designed for continuous-running operation with 24V DC FACP.
