General Description
The DFA remote actuator is a retro-fittable motor-driven remote control device for residual current cir-
cuit-breakers (DFS 2/4) in the Doepke product range with a rated current I
connect or disconnect residual current circuit-breakers as well as to trip RCCBs from a remote location.
The DFA can be de-activated with the aid of the rotary switch on the enclosure cover, so that it can-
not be accidentally activated from a remote location, e. g. during maintenance work at the distribution
board. The DFA may optionally also be operated in automatic mode, whereby 15 seconds after a trip
occurs one or three attempts at reconnection are automatically instigated.

The relevant operating status of the DFA is indicated by a green LED on the enclosure cover.
The DFA can be operated either with a 24 V

Preparation
2.1. Setting for attempts at automatic reconnection
The number of automatic reconnection attempts is preset at the factory to 1. For safety reasons we
urgently recommend that this setting be retained. However, if several attempts at reconnection are
required in an installation, then the number may be increased to max. 3 which will take place each
within a space of 15 consecutive seconds after a trip.
!
Before changing over it is essential for the DFA to be switched OFF and disconnected from the
power supply.
This setting is carried out within the device. For this purpose insert a standard screwdriver first into one
and then into the other of the two recesses provided on the housing front and slightly twist while, at the
same time, gently raising the cover (do not lever it open forcibly!).
With the aid of pointed pliers carefully reposition the jumper in the device as shown on the diagram.
