3. Preparation for training.
Fitting of the mouth/nose piece and the head bag
Fold the head bag carefully (2.1) and place it in the mouth opening (2.2). Fold
down the edge of the head bag and place the sealing ring over it (2.3). Place
the mouth/nose piece in the opening of the head bag and press it against the
head to obtain a tight seal (2.4).
At the end of the instruction period, discard the head bag and collect the
mouth/nose pieces fur subsequent cleaning (see chapter 4).
NOTE: Do not twist the bag while folding, as this may cause a considerable
increase in resistance to insufflation and expiration.
Removal of mouth/nose piece and head bag
Pull the mouth/nose piece upwards. Remove the sealing ring gently (3.1).
Remove the head bag slowly upward (3.2). Do not close the head bag with the
hand (3.3), as this will make it almost impossible to pull out the head bag.
4. Cleaning and disinfecting
The following procedure should be used:
1. Clean in mild soapy water.
2. Rinse thoroughly in clear water.
3. Disinfect as per C.D.C. protocols.
