Possible Cause
No power to player.
Function switch in incorrect
position.
Function switch set to CD or
Tape
Poor signal area

Remedy
Check the power plug is in
Firmly and connected to a
power supply.
Switch to CD , Radio or put a
tape in.
Switch to Radio. Turn up the
volume.
Rotate the case of the radio as
the internal aerial is directional.
Extend and place the wire aerial
in a different location.
Carefully clean the disc and
place in the player label side
up.
Carefully
clean the lens with a
"cotton bud".
Rewind tape and turn tape over
and rewind to orignal place.
Use a "tape head" cleaning
cassette.
Place new cassete into player
or place a piece of tape over
the cutout.
Switch the "BEAT" switch at the
rear.
Replace the batteries.
