DANGER
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect electrics before service
Equipment must be properly grounded.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death or electrical shock.
Installation of the COMBAT HVE fan and the associated
external electrical wiring must be completed by an
electrician qualified in the installation of control systems
for heating equipment.
4.1 Preparation
Before installing the Combat HVE Fan, observe the
following:

4.1.1 Location and Suspension
All models:
•
Must be installed indoors.
•
Must be installed in a level position.
•
Fan must be suspended from above (See Page 6,
Figure 3) Drop rods must be a minimum of 10mm
diameter mild steel. Four suspension points (M10
nuts) are located on top of fan. Mounting hardware
must be sufficient to support fan weight as listed in
dimension data on Page 5, Section 2.3.
•
Must be installed in a manner which alllows access
to all serviceable components.
4.1.2 Suspension Mounting
Failure of the supports can result in death, injury
4.2 Electrical Supply
All fans and controls need a constant 230 V 50 Hz
single phase supply connected to terminals L, N and
Earth. Polarity "L & N" must be correct. The voltage
between neutral and earth should be 0 and never
exceed 15 volts.
All fans and controls must be correctly earthed. All
external wiring must comply with relevant IEE and local
regulations and be carried out by a qualified electrician.
