12. MOUNTING THE SAW BLADES
Remove the 3 bolts in the blade guard
•
Take of the outer part of the blade guard
•
Loosen centre bolt in the saw shaft, by blocking the shaft
•
with the alan-key.
(Re)place the saw blades on the preferred width by using
•
the rings.
Fasten centre bolt in saw shaft (with alan key)
•
Replace outer part of blade guard
•
Fasten 3 bolts in blade guard
•
Note: make sure that saw blades are used intended for dry use
and suited for the material which has to be cut ask your carat
dealer for advice!
13. HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL CUTS
Horizontal cuts:
Before making a horizontal cut always check for hidden
•
water, gas pipes and electricity loads in the wall!
Place machine with wide wheel base on the wall
•
Start the machine
•
Slowly push the back part of the machine in the material
•
until small wheel base is on the wall
•
Always cut from right to left by pulling the machine back
•
Vertical cuts:
Before making a vertical cut always check for hidden
•
water, gas pipes and electricity loads in the wall!
Place machine with wide wheel base on the wall
•
Start the machine
•
Slowly push the back part of the machine in the material
•
until small wheel base is on the wall
•
Always cut from top to bottom
•
14. RECYCLING
According to the European regulation 2002/96/EC, Carat is
responsible
to
recycle
You are therefore requested to return old Carat to your local
dealer
15. WARRANTY
For the SLX-150, a guarantee period of 12 months applies
from the date of purchase. Guarantee claims can only be
accepted if purchase invoice can be shown. The guarantee
includes the repair of defects which have occurred and can be
linked to material or manufacturing faults.
Not covered by guarantee:
Defects or damages which are caused by incorrect use or
•
connection.
Machine overload.
•
When maintenance has been carried out incorrectly or
•
badly.
Information in the manual has not been properly followed.
•
The machine is used by unqualified persons.
•
If the machine is used for purposes for which it is
•
unsuitable.
The machine is repaired using non original parts.
•
If the serial plate is damaged or deleted.
•
If defects are caused by fire, damp and/or transport
•
