PREPARING THE POLISHER

8.1 PREPARING THE POLISHER

NOTE: Remove the plug from the socket

before carrying out adjustment, servicing or

maintenance.

FITTING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE (FIG.1)

Choose the best orientation to suit operator

comfort and application in hand.

Pass the two hex. head bolts

handle

and into the threaded apertures in

the gearbox housing

hex. key supplied.

FITTING THE BACKING PAD (FIGs.2-4)

Place the backing pad onto the spindle.

Carefully attach the backing pad in a clockwise

direction taking care not to cross the thread.

Press and hold the spindle lock button

firmly tighten the pad by hand.

NOTE: Never press the spindle lock button

while the spindle is in motion.

Simply align the bonnet with the backing pad

as per Fig.3 then press firmly in place. Once

securely fitted, roll the edges of the bonnet

over as per Fig.4.
