Do not use harsh cleaners or solvents as they may damage the

casing.

The body of the unit should be

cleaned using a cloth dampened

with warm water and detergent.

Make sure that water does not

go near the heating elements.

The wires in your toaster mains lead are coloured in accordance with the

following:

Green &

(Earth)

Yellow

(Live)

Brown

(Neutral)

Blue

You must use a 13 amp plug (BS1363), and fit a 10 amp fuse (BS1362).

If any other type of plug is used, a 10 amp fuse must be fitted, either in the

plug, adaptor or at the distribution board.

A mains plug with bared wires is hazardous if plugged into a mains output

socket.

Connect the blue wire to the neutral terminal of the plug which is marked N or

coloured black.

Connect the brown wire to the live terminal which is marked L or coloured red.

Connect the yellow and green wire to the earth terminal which is marked E.

If the power cable is damaged it must be repaired by a qualified repairer.
