Mark the jack with a label indicating its decommission-
ing and store it in the appropriate area. Ask a qualified
person to handle this.

The internal valves are
not fully seated:
(1)
Lower the lifting
arm, close the release
valve and remove the oil
filler plug.
(2)
Place one foot on a
front wheel and manually
pull up the lifting arm to
its full height.
(3)
Open the release
valve to lower the lifting
arm and replace the oil
filler plug.
•
The jack may be air-
locked:
(1)
Open the release
valve and remove the oil
filler plug.
(2)
Pump the handle
for 6 full strokes and close
the release valve. Replace
the oil filler plug.
The jack could be over-
filled with oil: Check the
oil level. The correct level
should be about 5 mm
below the oil filler plug
when lifting.
The jack oil level may be
low: Remove the oil filler
plug and refill with jack
oil to the correct level of
about 5 mm below the
oil filler plug when the
lifting arm is in a fully
down position. DO NOT
USE BRAKE FLUID.
The release valve is not
tightly closed: Close the
release valve by turning it
fully clockwise.
•
The return spring is loose
or broken: Check and
replace. The unit needs
lubrication – external
moving parts, see main-
tenance instructions.
