5. The pilot lamp/low battery indicator is located under the horn

speaker on/off switch.

6. The external speaker jack is located to the right of the auxiliary

jack.

7. The auxiliary jack is located under the power switch.

8. The power switch is the leftmost switch on the control panel.

9. The USB access panel is located on the back side, opposite of the

speaker.

10. The battery compartment door is located on the side opposite

of the control panel.

Installing Batteries in the Prowler

The Prowler requires 4 'AA' batteries (not included). FOXPRO

recommends the use of lithium, rechargeable NiMH, or high-quality

alkaline batteries for the best performance. If you plan to use the

Prowler in freezing conditions (under 32°F/0°C) we suggest lithium

batteries for the best performance.

To install batteries, remove the battery compartment door (you may

need a coin or screwdriver to release the tab). Locate the battery holder

and pull it out. Note that the holder attaches to a 9V style battery

connector. Never connect a 9V battery to this connector! Only use the

supplied battery holder. Place the batteries into each battery cavity

while observing correct polarity. Double check the power connector is

connected, return the battery holder into the Prowler, and secure the

battery compartment door. To verify power, slide the power switch to

"on" position (to the right). The power LED should illuminate green,

indicating the power is now on. If you notice the LED blinking

approximately two times per second, that means the batteries are low

and need to be replaced.
