1. Choice of nasal plug

Two nasal plugs are supplied to allow you to choose the size ensuring airtightness in nostrils. Introduce the soft tips

in the nostrils, obstruct the back of the nasal plug. The pressure rise should be felt in the nose without leakage to

the edge of the nostrils. If not, humidify the cones of the nasal-plug and try again. Otherwise, try a bigger nasal plug.

2. Instructions for use

For a good hygiene, before the first use, sterilize the nebulizer except nasal plug in boiling water (20 minutes).

Connect the tube to the "Pressure" outlet of the device and to the inlet (1) of the nebulizer. Connect the big tube to

the "Vibrations" outlet of the compressor and to the inlet (7). Fix the chosen nasal plug to the aerosol outlet (6).

Open the upper part of the body of the jet nebulizer unscrewing it by ¼ revolution. Check that the jet-pipe (4) is

correctly inserted on the bottom part (3). Pour the solution in the tank (2) without overfilling the mark "FULL"

(12 ml, indicative value). Place back the upper part of the body of the nebulizer screwing it by ¼ revolution. Put the

device ON. A light mist of aerosol must come out of the nebulizer. If not, check that the jets (3) or (4) are not

clogged and that the upper jet (4) is well positioned down on the bottom part (3).

3. Maintenance and cleaning

After each inhalation session, clean the jets (3) and (4) by using the nebulizer with water. Then, unplug the tubes

coming from the compressor. Wash the nebulizer with hot water and let it dry. Do not use any metal wire to clean

the jets (3) and (4).

4. Sterilization

Dismantle the body of the nebulizer according to the picture.

Nebulizer and tubes can be sterilized in boiling water (20 min).

Nasal plugs can only be cold sterilized.

5. European Standard EN 13544-1 (with AMSA compressor)

Maximum volume filling : 12 mL

Minimum volume filling : 3 mL

Performances for a 4 mLvolume:

Aerosol output flow (b): 0.09 mL/mn

MMAD (c):

(a) Solution volume inhaled by the patient during one nebulization session.

(b) Solution volume inhaled by the patient during 1 minute of nebulization.

For hygienic purpose, a brand new EXTRANEB MANOSONIC nebulizer must be given to each patient.

This nebulizer can be used with a MANOSONIC compressor of DTF MEDICAL.

Expected shelf life of accessory: 1 year.
