Refilling Water:
•
Disconnect the iron from the mains electrical supply.
•
Slide the Steam Control Switch to 0. Refill with water.
•
Plug the iron into the mains electrical supply and wait until the temperature light goes
out. Set the Variable Steam Control to 1 if you want steam ironing.
Dry Ironing:
•
Slide the Variable Steam Control to 0.

After Ironing:

•
Unplug from the mains electrical supply. Slide the Steam Control Switch to 1 and
empty any water left in the tank. Then always set the Steam Control Switch to 0 and
allow the iron to cool down.
•
Always store the iron in an upright position, on its heel, when not in use (this will
protect the soleplate).
Integrated Supply Cord Wrap:
•
For easy storage the supply cord can be wound around the cord wrap. Do not pull
the cord too tightly which could place stress on the cord protector.
•
The iron works at a constant steam volume and this means that the steam pressure
remains the same regardless of the level of water in the water tank. The desired
steam volume is set by means of the Steam Control Switch.
•
The first time the iron is used a small amount of smoke may be emitted. This is
perfectly normal and ceases to occur after the appliance has been in use for a short
while
•
If drops of water are emitted with the steam, turn the temperature control dial to a
slightly higher setting.
•
Items that are damp dry, rather than over-dry, are easier to iron.
•
Before using the first time or if the iron has not been used for a few weeks, hold
it horizontally and allow it to steam for about 1 minute. Activate the power steam
button a few times.
•
If you use a spray starch we recommend that you wipe the soleplate over occasionally
with a soft damp cloth to help prevent a deposit forming.
•
When the iron is to be disposed of, ensure it is unusable (e.g. cut through the supply
cord to remove the plug).
