Troubleshooting

Problem:

Green power light does not come on, or the driver

cannot be installed.

Answer:

Make sure the ExDrive has power and its power

cord is plugged into a working outlet.

Problem:

The installation program cannot find the Ex Drive

or does not assigned a drive letter.

Answer:

(a) Make sure the green power light on the Portable

Hard Drive is lit.

(b) Make sure the drive was securely connected to

the PCMCIA/USB port of your computer.

Problem:

Having date transfer problems or erratic drive

operation

Answer:

(a) Make sure the green power light on the Portable

Hard Drive is lit.

(b) Make sure the drive was securely connected to

the PCMCIA socket or USB port of your computer.

Problem:

The power light of the ExDrive is lit, and the

Device Driver was installed correctly. However, the

system can't assign a drive letter for it.

Answer:

Make sure your 2.5" hard drive was partitioned and

formatted correctly.
