Safe operating practices

This product is solely to be used for the assistance of loading and

unloading a wheelchair with single occupant.

Ensure the winch belt is free from any obstacles and that there is a clear

path for the wheelchair to be pulled along.

Ensure the occupant is seated securely and correctly in the wheelchair.

Never attempt to pull more than the winch is rated for. This product is load-

tested to 500kg (based on a maximum 12º ramp angle).

The winch should at no time be used in place of a wheelchair restraint

system. Please ensure the front inertia belts are fitted securely to the

wheelchair before the winch is operated.

Every wheelchair is different. Please use the correct anchor points when

attaching the winch harness to the wheelchair. If in doubt check your

wheelchair manual.

The winch belt should be kept under tension at all times.

The wheelchair should always be guided into the vehicle with a person

behind, paying close attention that the wheelchair remains central to the

ramp.

Routinely check the belt is clean and not showing any signs of wear.

Be aware that low battery voltage on your vehicle could impact on the

winch performance. Never jump-start the vehicle whilst the winch is

connected to the battery.
