To connect and use the XPacket Storage Device IEEE 1394, your computer is

required to have one available IEEE 1394 port and your operating system needs

to support the IEEE 1394 interface (i.e., Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows

2000, Windows XP or Mac OS 8.0 or later). If you do not have a IEEE 1394 port

directly on your main board, etc, you may purchase and use a Firewire PCI card.

Normally, these provide 2 IEEE 1394 ports.

The Combo version functions with only one of these interfaces at a time, but at

least one must be present and supported by the operating system (i.e., Windows

98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Mac OS 8.0 or later). If you

do not have either an Firewire IEEE 1394 port or a USB 2.0 port somewhere on
