MAINTENANCE

1. Maintain proper oil level.

2. When the pump is run for prolonged periods of time,

ice may form on the muffler element and must be removed.

3. Change the oil every 250 hours or more frequently if

used in dirty environments. To remove the oil from the

pump, remove the vent/fill/gauge cap and insert a siphon

tube to siphon the oil from the pump. It may be neces-

sary to tilt the pump to get the remaining oil in the reser-

voir. Always use clean Enerpac hydraulic oil when refill-

ing the pump. See page 44 for oil filling instructions.

4. Periodically the filter will need to be drained. Turn the

knob (H) at the bottom of the filter clockwise to drain. Use

a shallow pan or a cloth to catch drainage. Turn knob

counterclockwise to seal filter.

5. The air inlet filter should be cleaned every 250 hours.

To replace the filter, depressurize the system and unscrew

the bowl. Remove the filter element and replace with new

filter element.
