Blindstitch foot
Information
Purpose
• To sew invisible hems in medium-weight to heavy fabrics.
• To sew ladder stitch hems.
For your safety
Before using this accessory, please read the instruction manual at hand as
well as the instruction manual of your machine carefully.
Application
To sew invisible hems
> Select a 3-thread overlock stitch wide (LN) and thread the machine.
> Adjust the stitch length to 3.5 – 4.5 mm.
> Reduce the needle thread tension slightly.
> Position the guide of the presser foot to 1 mm on the right of the needle.
> Mark the hem depth (wrong side on wrong side) and iron the hem.
> Fold the hem back so that the lower fabric edge lies on the right next to
the folded edge. (Fig. 1)
> Place the fabric under the presser foot and push the folded edge against
the guiding plate of the presser foot. (Fig. 2)
> Sew a few stitches. In doing so, make sure that the needle scarcely stitches
the folded edge. If necessary, adjust the guide on the presser foot.
> Sew the hem.
