G. USING THE ADM-2 WITH GRIND GAUGES

I The ADM-2 works with most commercially available grind gages

and scrapers. Little Joe Industries does not supply grind gages or their

assodattd scrapers.

2. The height of the scraper must be adjusted according to St'ct:ion F.

J. Make surr the slide Is In the rear position and the engagement han

dle Is in the 9:00 o'clock position.

4. Place the grind gage on the top plate and Insert the scraper into the

scraper holder.

5. Wipe the grind gage and scrapN down with a sol�nl appropriate

for the test sample you art' testing making su� that no dust or lint

remains on the grind gage.

6. Plat't a �mell amount of the mt sample in thl' grind gage path or

paths.

7. Move the slide forward until the tip of the scraper Is jt.llit before thr

test sample.

8. Gently tum the engagement handle to thC' l:00 o'clocic position.

Make sure not to ler the engagement handle slap down quickly

because thl� c-ould damage the scraper or grind gage

9. Press the grt"rn button and the slide will mo� forward until the

grttn button is let 90.

10. Whtn the smper romcs to the C'nd ot the path qulrkly rricase thC'

grt"en button, tum the ,ngagemem handle to thl' 9:00 o'clock posi

tion, !'\'move the scraper. and retUm the slide to the rt'.9t position.

t I. Now rtad the results of the grind rest.

12. Clean the grind gage and scrancr.

H. USING THE ADM-2 WITH DRAW DOWN PADS

I. To make draw downs on draw down pads using the ADM-2 rhe

Draw OoWTI Pad kit must be purrhased in addition to the ADM-2. The:

Draw Down Pad kit consists of a scra�r adapter, scraper, :ind C'llpboard

to hold the draw down pad. Draw down pads art' not Included.

2. Install the SC'l'aper into the scraper adapter and tighten It down

using the three set-screws. The scraper does not nC't<l to be remO'l?d

from the scraper adapter after each draw down.

J. The hrlght of the scraper must be acijusted according to section F.

4. Make sure the slide is in the rear po�ition and thl' engagemi:nt han

dll' is in 1he 9:00 o'cloC'k position.

!l. Put the clipboard with draw down pad on the top plate.

6. Movt the slide to the beginning of the draw down pad and Inst. a ll

the scraper adapter.

7. Place the test sample on the draw down pad tn the same way that

you would for a manual draw rlown .

8. Move the engagement handle to the 3:00 o'clock position.

9. Press the green button and the slide will move down the ll'ngth of

the draw down pad. Release the green button when the scmper i� near

the end of the draw down pad.

10. Turn the engagement handle to tht 9:00 o'clock position and

rtmov e the scraper adapter.
