4.2 BEFORE YOU CALL FOR SERVICE...
TROUBLE
THE AIR CURTAIN
CAN'T BE TURNED ON.
THE AIR CURTAIN IS CON-
NECTED TO THE POWER
SUPPLY BUT DOES NOT
WORK PROPERLY.
ELECTRIC HEATER OVERHE-
ATS (The air curtain doesn't
heat even though it should,
according to the control
panel setting.)

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The air curtain is disconnected
from the electrical supply, e.g.,
due to a power outage or at the
main circuit breaker.
The current and voltage do not
correspond to the values on the
manufacturer's label.
The air curtain's electrical con-
nection does not correspond to
the schematic.
The neutral conductor is not
connected.
A wire came loose from its connec-
tor when the air curtain was wired.
The cable from the control pa-
nel to the air curtain is impro-
perly connected.
The fuse is blown.
Insufficient space in front of the
intake louvers or limited curtain
suction (see installation manual).
The air curtain is dirty.
One or more of the air curtain's
fans have failed.
SOLUTION
Check the circuit-breaker box
where the air curtain is instal-
led.
Measure the input current and
voltage and compare them to
the values on the manufactu-
rer's label located on the air
curtain housing
Find the schematic and check
the air curtain's connection.
The schematic can be found ei-
ther in the Installation Manual,
or under the air curtain's servi-
ce hood
Connect it
Unbolt the protection cover
and check the connectors.
Check the cable connection
between the control panel and
the control electronics of the
air curtain.
Pull the cable terminal from
the "MASTER" connector in the
electronics panel of the air cur-
tain and snap it back into pla-
ce. Open the control panel box,
pull the cable from the panel
connection and snap it back in.
Try using a different cable sup-
plied by the manufacturer and
retest the air curtain. If the air
curtain still does not work, re-
place the control panel with a
different one and try again.
Check the air curtain's fuse. The
fuse is located on the printed
circuit board. Check to make
sure it is not burnt. If it is blown,
then it must be replace with a
fuse of the same electrical va-
lue.
Ensure adequate space.
Clean the air curtain
Contact the service center and
have the fan changed.
