hold the grip rail and pull door out
fully.
softener which removes the minerals
that cause
hardness
in the
mains
water supply and provides the soft
lime-free
water
required
for dish-
washing.
So that the water softener continues
to supply softwater, the salt container
on the floor of the wash cabinet must
always be kept full.
Exception: If the degree of hard-
ness in local water is permanently
under 8 grains per gallon (143 mg
liter) with low carbonate hardness,
there is no need to reactivate.
Your local water authority will advise
you on water hardness in your area.
At the end of every wash cycle, the
softener is automatically reactivated
by the salt.
Filling the salt container
Important
Should
you inadvertently
fill the
salt
container
with
dishwasher
detergent powder, this can
da-
mage the water softener.
Please also check that you are filling
with the correct salt. CULINOX 999,
manufactured
by
MORTON
SALT
CO., is suitable.
Please
use only special coarse-
grained reactivation salt, as other
salts may contain insoluble addi-
tives which can impair the func-
tioning of the softener.
