Ceramic surfaces
Do not use dishwashing liquid for
cleaning. When cleaning with a
dishwashing liquid, not all
contaminants and residues are
removed. The result is an invisible
film, which leads to discolouration of
the ceramic surface. This
discolouration cannot be removed.
Clean the wok on a regular basis with
a special ceramic cleaner.
Remove coarse soiling with a damp
cloth. Stubborn soiling is best removed
with a glass scraper.
Next, clean the wok with the Miele
ceramic and stainless steel cleaner
(see "Optional accessories"), or a
commercial ceramic cleaner and paper
towel or a clean cloth. Do not apply
cleaner to a hot burner, since staining
can occur. Follow the instructions of the
cleaner manufacturer.
Finally, wipe the wok with a damp cloth
then dry it. Take care to remove all
cleaner residue. Residues will catch fire
and burn in later cooking and damage
the ceramic top.
Cleaning and care
Spots caused by limescale,water and
aluminum residues (spots with a
metallic appearance) can be removed
using the ceramic and stainless steel
cleaner.
Should sugar, plastic, or aluminum
foil fall onto the hot wok, turn the
appliance off. Scrape these substances
immediatelythoroughly from the
surface while it is still hot, using a glass
scraper. Be careful, as you might get
burned.
Then, when the wok has cooled down,
clean it as described above.
Stainless steel
Use a ceramic and stainless steel
cleaner to clean stainless steel surfaces
(see "Optional accessories").
Apply with an even pressure following
the direction of the "grain".
To help prevent rapid resoiling, we
recommend using a stainless steel
conditioner (see "Optional
accessories").
Apply sparingly using a soft cloth.
Do not use stainless steel cleaner on
or around the printing. This would
rub off the printing. Use only a soft
sponge with some dish liquid and
warm water to clean this area.
