PolyLoop Ligating Device
Quick Reference Guide
The PolyLoop delivers a nylon loop snare designed to prevent or control bleeding following
polypectomy of pedunculated polyps.
CAUTION:
This guide is only a summary of the instructions for use for the HX-400U-30 PolyLoop. Be sure to follow the Olympus EndoTherapy
PolyLoop HX-400U-30 instruction manual that was included with your HX-400U-30 purchase.

Look at the polyp for signs of ligation (blanching
at the stalk, engorging in the head).

Close the snare at least 2 mm above the PolyLoop
on the stalk of the polyp.

Straighten the endoscope and
n
PolyLoop as much as possible.

Push the slider distally to extend
n
the hook from the coil sheath.
(See image C.)

Cut the sheath, coil, and operating wire near
n
the yellow cylinder using pliers or a wire cutter.
(See image at right.)
Withdraw the endoscope.

Insert the scope next to the sheath. Use the
n
Loop Cutter to cut the PolyLoop between the
stopper and the coil sheath.
Remove the sheath from the patient.
