Using the Epson Stylus as a Mouse

The Driver for Easy Interactive Tools (EIT) is already installed and active. You don't need to start any

special software – just use the computer (i.e. its projected screen) as normal



Click anywhere on the board to see the Pointer follow the Stylus



Use the Right‐Click button on the Stylus (just to show the Desktop Settings Menu ...but no

need to change anything here)



Use the Stylus to open Web ...a 'tap' is the same effect as a left‐click



Choose a site relevant to Subject(s)



Choose a Document (such as Exam PDF) relevant to Subject(s)



Scroll with Stylus, follow hyperlinks with Stylus



Slide Stylus over some Text in order to 'highlight' then choose Edit ...Copy (may have to use

right‐click mode for this). Equally, one may then paste content into, for example, Word,

PowerPoint or Excel.

Using the Epson Stylus as a Pen

Start the EIT software (using the shortcut on the Desktop) – for full details of 'icons' see below. This is

the main 'floating' toolbar

With a PDF or Website open to full screen, and switching to Pen Mode in the EIT Panel, use



Pen and Highlighter



The Capture‐Camera (in Tools) to capture the annotated screen



(Save as a single‐screen Desktop Capture)

Switch back to Mouse/Interactive/Desktop Mode ...and make sure that you have clicked on the

Mouse icon; Scroll up/down, visit another site and/or document; Back into Pen/Annotation Mode

and note that previous annotations have to be cleared
